Quick Update
Well, we made it to Kiev (more unbelievable details to come on that one). We have our 2 new ones with us. They have been troopers through it all so far, but Jennie and I are pretty sketchy. We've watched first meetings (brother and sister), had first baths, first meals together. They love their new shoes so much, they want to sleep in them. We've had some heroic efforts from several people to get us this far tonight, I will definitely expand on that (Sally, the Griswolds have nothing on us). We still have one more hurdle tomorrow morning, please pray that the Embassy will complete their Visas before our plane is supposed to leave. Hope everyone is well, Boys, we miss you and we are doing everthing we can do to get home to you as soon as we can.

Hi Jen and Jeff, I'm keping my fingers crossed all goes well with the Embassy. It must be very challenging but also touching to have the children become re-acquainted with each other and also getting use to being with their new parents. Ya' got your hands full, that's for sure. Just want you to know you are always in our thoughts and can't wait to hear you are back home, all safe and sound. Safe trip, God speed...lots and lots of love, Mom and John

Hey GUys
We too await the upcoming Ukrainian Vacation movie. We'll be sure to have some blinis and pierogies (and some of that 40 cent beer!) to enjoy while catching up on this most excellent adventure.

To the awesome J's
Sooo glad your trip is almost over. It seems like you've been gone FOREVER - and we don't even live near you guys!!! You left a couple days after we left you at the beach, and it's amazing all the stuff that has happened since then.
I'm glad you're encountering help along the way. That really doesn't surprise me, because I know that you guys would definitely help anyone who needed it, so you see, when you have good karma, it comes back tenfold. I think about you fifteen times a day and how you're faring with those two little cuties. I was telling Dayna tonight about the kids wanting to keep their shoes on and started to tear up. Hey, mabye they're already inheriting Jennie's famous shoe fetish?!?!? Nature or nurture . . . I definitely sense nurture.
You all have to keep us out of town folks up on all the info from Swansboro. We all are thinking and praying for you every day and night before bed. We're so very happy that you'll all be together soon and starting your new adventure. Glad Sally is back home and Rita didn't do any major damage. Hopefully her Cowboys will go all the way to the Super Bowl (although if Pittsburgh happens to make an appearance, I must, as the biggest fair-weather fan around, root for the hometown)!!
Hmmm, from my (very poor) math skills, I'm guessing that it's about 3:00 a.m. wherever you guys are, so I'm hoping that everyone is very comfortable and very asleep.
We love yinz,
Mandy Eddie Liam Dayna

Don't worry about the Embassy. They get things done pretty efficiently (unlike certain Ukrainian officials we can think of, eh?)Just be glad you are not having to schlep two kids and all your stuff on an overnight train to Warsaw, like we had to. That was an adventure! You guys have it easy (yeah, right!) So excited for your future with your two new angels. Good luck and God Speed. (I hate to see your blog come to an end, and I don't even know you!)Thanks for letting me share your journey and adventures.

Just in case you get a chance to read comments before you leave. No doubt you are at the Embassy now getting the Visas signed and are anxiously awaiting getting on the plane. It is absolutely wonderful to know you are a a mere 12 - 15 hours from being in North Carolina. We can't wait to hear your voices and once you've gotten rested up meet out two new beautiful grand kids, Jenna Lezza and Joseph Edward. Godspeed, lots of love, Mom and John

Hi All, This is Jen's Sister Char. I understand from a very brief conversation with Jeff (phone stopped working on their end)that they missed their connecting flight in Frankfort, due to a delay in Kiev. They are spending the night in Frankfort tonight. They will be flying out tomorrow at 11:20am their time. The phone went dead at this point so I called the airlines. I understand from a conversation with an airline rep. that they will be arriving in Raleigh tomorrow (Thurs.) at 5:20pm.

Hi Char, Thanks for the update... I saw your nephews last night and Justin had heard your message at Mary's...he said..."26 hours to go!" I helped Jacob get ready for football practice yesterday afternoon and he is also very much looking forward to tonight! I know they have been troopers but they have missed them so much and are ready!!!
